ANOTHER CENTURY OF NARROW GAUGE STEAM II UPDATE

Two months ago we initiated ACNGS II, a five-year fundraising campaign with a $2 million goal. Initial results are encouraging. Commitments so far total $410,000, including $112,000 in cash receipts. Those responding include nearly 140 Friends members, over 20 local Antonito and Chama merchants and several suppliers to the railroad and the Friends. A foundation has contributed and several others have indicated keen interest.

One Friends member made an anonymous donation to duplicate and mail to each member the nine minute DVD that we use to inform the public of our campaign. They will be mailed in the next few weeks. Besides enjoying it, we hope our members will show it to acquaintances and associates who could be willing to participate in this worthwhile campaign.
