Another Century of Narrow Gauge Steam II Campaign
The ACNGS II campaign, launched on May 25, 2007, seeks to raise $2 million over five years. Building on the success of the first ACNGS campaign, this fundraising program will allow us to take the next steps to restore and preserve the unique historic assets of the C&TS. The priorities for this new effort come directly from the Friends strategic plan, and 100% of the Board of Directors has already made pledges. To strengthen our endeavor we will reach out to corporations, foundations and appropriate government entities. And, as in the past, we will also focus on the generosity of our membership.
For more information, visit the ACNGS II campaign web page.
Lobato Trestle Fund
The Lobato trestle, the second highest bridge on the 64-mile Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, was damaged by a fire of
undetermined origin the night of June 23, rendering it impassable by trains. Since then, trains have operated between
Cumbres and Osier. By contributing to the Lobato Trestle Fund, you will help fund the rebuilding
of the trestle and the restoration of service over the entire line.
